Even though I had booked the cheapest possible room, and arrived late, I think perhaps for asking politely and not objecting to an upper floor, I was given a room right next to a special suite, which was very quiet. Also, it should be noted, this motel is right by the best gas station / convenience store in Decorah, with excellent selection and free ATMs.

It’s a nice hotel to stay at in Decorah. It’s a quiet location tucked behind the main roads. It doesn’t look great from the outside but it’s nice and our room was big. The breakfast was good, too. The staff were nice as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good. We felt like we got what we paid for.

The man that checked me in was reallu nice and told me everything anyone would like to be made aware of when staying there.. like where vending machines are-breakfast hours-stuff like that.
